*1 NOTE: Residence refers to a place in which an alien granted permanent stay has settled with the purpose of living there, whereas stay refers to a place in which an alien granted short-term and temporary stay is staying.
An alien granted permanent stay shall be obliged to register his/her residence and address of dwelling, as well as any change regarding his/her residence and address of dwelling within eight days from the occurred change.
An alien granted temporary stay shall be obliged to report his/her stay and address of dwelling, as well as any change regarding his/her residence and address of dwelling within three days since entering into the Republic of Croatia, or since the day on which the change regarding stay or address of dwelling has occurred.
An alien granted short-term stay shall be obliged to report his/her stay within 48 hours since entering into the Republic of Croatia, or since changing the address of dwelling, and the change regarding the address of dwelling shall in the following cases be reported by:
Aliens who come on foreign vessels intended for sports and leisure and who dwell on these vessels, are obliged to register their stay to a police station competent for the state border control in a port where the border control is carried out while entering into the Republic of Croatia.
A legal and natural person who rented a vessel in the Republic of Croatia to an alien shall be obliged to, without any delay, notify a legal or natural person providing berths and boating services in a port of nautical tourism of the registration of stay.
Aliens granted short-term stay, aliens granted permanent stay and aliens granted temporary stay shall be obliged to cancel their stay or residence no later than the first day following the departure of aliens from the address of dwelling, stay or residence.
Registration, as well as cancellation of stay/residence or change of address of dwelling may be carried out in a competent police administration or police station or may be submitted electronically, by internet, following the proscribed manner.
Aliens granted short-term stay (a tourist visa of up to 90 days within 6 months), persons to whom aliens come for a visit and legal and natural persons providing accommodation services to aliens, may register aliens also through a tourist community in the area in which aliens stay and the tourist community shall be obliged to deliver this registration within 24 hours from the registration of aliens in that tourist community.
*2 NOTE: Change of dwelling address refers only to the change of the dwelling address within the up-to-then place of residence/stay. If the registration refers to a new address in another locality, different from the up-to-then place of residence/stay, then this is a case of the change of residence/stay.
*3 NOTE: It is necessary if the applicant is registering his/her residence/stay. As a proof which stands in support of the information on which he/she founds its application for the registration of residence/stay, the applicant shall be obliged to produce the following documents:
Besides the above mentioned documents, a certificate on house number allocation may also be required.
It shall not be necessary to produce the mentioned documents if dwelling is ensured with legal or natural persons providing accommodation services to aliens.
